Executive Summary
Fluor was selected by INEOS to provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for a new energy plant at its Grangemouth petrochemical complex in Grangemouth, Scotland.
The new plant will improve energy efficiency and resilience at Grangemouth, one of the UK's largest manufacturing sites, replacing existing facilities that have been providing steam and power to the co-located refinery, Forties Pipeline System and petrochemical plants for more than 40 years.
Client's Challenge
A number of existing steam generating assets are reaching the end of their economic life. A replacement, reliable and efficient source of steam was desired to replace these assets while maintaining continuous steam supply for the industrial processes undertaken at the Grangemouth complex.

Our scope of work includes design, procurement, construction and commissioning support. Backed by the our experts, we are applying our in-depth cogeneration expertise to optimize design and minimize the impact on existing operations while delivering execution excellence through cost and schedule certainty. OurFarnborough office is leading the project, working in an integrated team with INEOS engineers.
Conclusion
INEOS selected Fluor to provide EPC services for its new energy plant at the Grangemouth petrochemical complex in Scotland. We had previously undertaken the front-end engineering design for the project.
