Fluor performed the turnkey engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), start-up and commissioning for this 1,000-MW power plant northeast of San Antonio on a fast-track basis.
The power plant is one of the largest and cleanest natural gas-fired cogeneration units in Texas. Four GE Frame 7FA combustion turbine generators were installed along with four Aalborg Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) and two GE steam turbines.
We completed the first 500-MW unit in only 16 months after field mobilization and completed the second unit one month later.
