Al Collins
Group President,
Mission Solutions
Al Collins serves as Group President of Mission Solutions for Fluor Corporation. In this role, he oversees the sale and delivery of high-value, technical solutions to government agencies, including the U.S. Departments of Defense, Energy and Homeland Security; the National Nuclear Security Administration; and Canadian Nuclear Laboratories.
Having joined Fluor in 1994, Al has more than 30 years of experience delivering and leading teams in project execution, regional operations, business development and corporate planning.
Prior to his current assignment, Al served as Group President, Corporate Development & Sustainability. He has also held various leadership positions for Fluor’s Energy & Chemicals business, including Senior Vice President of Global Operations and Senior Vice President of Global Business Development as well as Vice President of Operations and oversight of all EPC project delivery in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
In previous roles, Al was based in Saudi Arabia serving as General Manager of Operations for Fluor Arabia Limited, as well as Vice President of Business Development for the Middle East and Africa. He also served as Director of Operations in Fluor's Office of the Chairman helping to develop and implement corporate strategy; in strategic sourcing supporting various power restoration projects in Iraq; and in China on a major petrochemicals project. Al also held various roles in sales, marketing and strategic business unit management as well as several years in project controls. He has extensive domestic and international experience including assignments in the United States, the Netherlands, England, China and various project sites.
Al has executed Fluor projects and supported marketing activities across several industries, including oil and gas production, refining, petrochemicals, chemicals, biofuels, polymers, life sciences, wastewater treatment, gasification and power generation/transmission/distribution.
He attended the Thunderbird School of Global Management’s International Consortium program and graduated from Clemson University in 1994 with a bachelor's degree in construction science and management.
