Matthew K. Rose

Director since 2014, Matthew K. Rose is a member of the Audit and Organization and Compensation Committees.

Matthew currently serves on two boards (Chairman of Whataburger and Board member to Marquette) for BDT Capital Partners, LLC, an investment and advisory firm specializing in family and founder-led companies. He is also a director of AT&T Inc.

Prior to this, Matthew served as Executive Chairman of Burlington Northern Santa Fe, LLC (BNSF) from 2014 until his retirement in 2019. He served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BNSF from 2002 to 2014. He joined BNSF in 1993.

He brings extensive leadership experience, considerable knowledge of operations management and business strategy as well as his deep understanding of public company oversight. His experience serving on other public company boards, including the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, make him a valuable contributor to the Board.
