BASF YPC Integrated Petrochemical Site
Client: BASF-YPC Co. Ltd.
Location: Nanjing, China
In Phase I, Fluor provided program management services to develop a nine-plant integrated petrochemical site in Nanjing. In Phase II, Fluor was part of an international consortium responsible for engineering management, procurement and construction management for the second expansion phase of the site.
Ivanhoe Mines Oyu Tolgoi Copper Mine Construction
Client: Ivanhoe Mines Ltd.
Location: Gobi Desert, Mongolia
In the remote Gobi Desert, Fluor provided program and construction management on the Oyu Tolgoi copper mine. This mine represented the largest and perhaps most challenging engineering-construction project in Mongolia, becoming one of the world's largest copper mines when it started operations.
The project consisted of open-pit and underground mines, a copper concentrator and supporting infrastructure to produce high-quality copper-gold concentrate.
TianREC Polysilicon Plant
Client: Shaanxi Non-Ferrous Tian Hong REC Silicon Materials Co., Ltd. (TianREC)
Location: Yulin, Shaanxi Province, China
Fluor provided front-end engineering and design (FEED), detailed design services and technical support for a new polysilicon plant. Utilizing REC Silicon's next-generation fluidized bed reactor technology, the project was expected to have a production capacity of 18,000 metric tons of granular polysilicon upon completion.
